Associate of Applied Science - Information Technology Support Specialist

This program from Baker College focuses on a growing segment of the Information Technology market that focuses on providing service and support for software applications configuration, training of users, maintenance of information, and communication processes between a company's back-end network administrators and middle to front-line employees and customers. The graduate's employment opportunities include a wide range of occupations within an IS/IT department and/or within the layers between an IS/IT department and the users it serves. Graduates would not only be proficient in the content and use of common business software applications and information processes (word processing, spreadsheet, database operating systems, network connectivity), but also be able to install, configure, train users, troubleshoot, and support those applications.
