Master of Health Administration

The Master of Health Administration program examines the functions and management of the health services industry, including health care facilities, public health organizations and government agencies. The curriculum integrates theory and application, combining both technical and communication skills to effectively lead and manage integrated delivery systems. You'll study U.S. health policy, population health management, financial management, strategic planning, legal issues and public policy, leadership and organizational behavior.

Modality

The Master of Health Administration program is delivered using a blend of: two, 3-day immersion sessions at the Irvine campus (one at the beginning, and one at the end); internships/clinical practice in hospitals, clinics and health centers near your home or work; and online lectures, demonstrations and exercises.

This program is intended for the recent college graduate looking to start a career in the health care field or for seasoned professionals whose responsibilities have expanded into management areas.

What can you do with a degree in health administration?

Students with a health administration degree work as managers or administrators in health care settings, including hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities and government.
