The Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning two-for-one field of study prepares you for the CFP® Certification Examination (in seven courses), then positions you for a master's degree (after six additional courses). Your studies will emphasize the traditional areas of financial planning and then expand into specialized instruction.

If you are a graduate of the College for Financial Planning's CFP® Certification Professional Education Program, some course credits may be applicable to your master's program. This two-for-one field of study prepares you for the CFP® Certification Examination (in seven courses), then positions you for a master's degree (after six additional courses). Your studies will emphasize the traditional areas of financial planning and then expand into specialized instruction.

The personal financial planning major requires completion of 39 semester hours of credit (13 courses) with an overall grade-point average of 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale.
