Bachelor of Science in Financial Forensics

Offered By: Colorado Technical University

Colorado Tech Online is pleased to announce the addition of a Bachelor of Science in Financial Forensics for students interested in building industry-current credentials in financial regulations and statutes, finance and accounting concepts and criminal investigations.

As a result of recent financial scandals, reported increases in fraud in the workplace, and heightened concerns over money laundering and terrorist financing, legislative mandates have increased the demand for professionals who can detect and deter fraud within organizations.

In response to the increase in demand for professionals who can detect and deter fraud within organizations, courses are focused on teaching students how to identify, formulate, and communicate the relevant financial investigation issues as well as prepare, comprehend and interpret the required financial statements according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Students also learn to apply the knowledge and skills of finance, accounting, management, mathematics, criminal justice and the liberal arts to identify, resolve, and communicate relevant financial forensics issues and develop a plan for the detection and prevention of financial fraud.
