Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies - Professional Communication

The Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies (BSPS) is an innovative undergraduate degree program that will prepare you to move into the professional ranks of an organization. This program is specifically designed to accomodate adults who want to earn their bachelor's degree while fulfilling life obligations and is comprised of a wide range of interactive, professionally-oriented course work.

Communication skills are increasingly important in today's workplace. The Professional Communication concentration acquaints the student with a cross-section of current communication theories and applications. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, ethical concerns and assessing one's strengths and weaknesses as a communicator. A minimum of 120 credits is required for graduation. Courses are offered in an accelerated, 8-week format. Students can obtain a degree in four years (less with transfer credits). Those entering with an associate's degree or equivalent can earn their degree in about two years.
