Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Science. As the population grows and ages, there will be an increasing need for medical imaging to both diagnose and monitor progress in treatments. This specialized bachelor's degree program offers an opportunity for imaging technologists to advance their education by acquiring a bachelor's degree and skills that are relevant to their current vocation. The curriculum provides an in-depth examination of advanced patient care, risk management, regulations, pharmacology, statistics, and transcultural health care, along with trends, ethics and spirituality in health care. Courses also focus on quality management, critical patient care, and digital technology in medical imaging. Furthermore, a capstone project is designed to aid in the development of inquiry and research skills. Graduates of this program are equipped with expertise and skills needed to be highly effective imaging technologists and to advance their career in the area of medical imaging science.
