Within the Associate of Applied Science in Medical Coding and Billing degree program, Grantham offers a Certificate of Learning that gives you the option of entering the work force more quickly. The Certificate of Learning in Medical Coding and Billing, which requires only 28 credit hours, prepares you to take the American Health Information Management Association's (AHIMA) Certified Coding Associate (CCA) exam, a beginning industry certification for obtaining a job. While working full time, you then have the option to continue your education at Grantham to finish the courses required to complete your associate degree in Medical Coding and Billing.
