Associate of Science in Accounting

Offered By: Potomac College Online

Potomac College Online's Associate in Accounting degree program enables students to develop the necessary skills required to analyze transactions, prepare journal entries, and post to the ledgers. Students will be able to summarize the financial information by preparing and interpreting financial statements, to assist in management decision-making. Accounting graduates can obtain employment as a bookkeeper, an accounts receivable clerk, and other entry-level business positions. Bookkeeping, accounting, and auditing clerks are an organization's financial record keepers. They update and maintain one or more accounting records, including those which tabulate expenditures, receipts, accounts payable and receivable, and profit and loss. They represent a wide range of skills and knowledge from full-charge bookkeepers who can maintain an entire company's books to accounting clerks who handle specific accounts.
