Associate of Science in Human Resource Administration

SJVC's online Human Resource Administration program offers training in the procedures, policies and practices found in today's human resource departments. Our students develop personal, professional and human relations skills in addition to the skills needed to perform the duties of a human resource administrator.

Earn your certificate in just 8 months and continue on to finish your Associate of Science degree in Human Resource Administration. The first academic year focuses on the specific career skills employers demand. The second academic year provides general education courses tailored to your chosen career field.

You will learn and gain skills in: personnel hiring and evaluation practices, compensation structures, staff training and development, payroll management, employee benefits administration, labor laws, Microsoft® Office Suite, basic accounting principles, business writing, and human resource management software.

Graduates earn an Associate of Science degree and are prepared to take the Microsoft® Office Specialist Exam for certification in Word, PowerPoint® and Excel®.
