Master of Public Administration - Public Policy

The specialization in Public Policy is designed for those who seek to further their managerial skills and technical knowledge in the government. In addition to the core coursework, studies specific to this concentration include public policy analysis, program evaluation, legislative and judicial processes, and public policy economics. The Master of Public Administration degree program is designed to address the needs of students for applied coursework in areas of critical importance to local, state, and national governmental and non-profit organizations. The program is organized around core, specialization, elective, and capstone courses that cover a broad range of governmental and non-profit topics to help develop each student's knowledge, skills, and abilities. This degree program can help prepare you to be a project/program manager, administrative services specialist, departmental manager, analyst, economic development specialist, and eventually (with applicable experience) executive director, economic development director, city manager, chief administrative officer or county manager.
