Southern New Hampshire University's Bachelor of Arts in Psychology program introduces you to the content and methods of psychology and provides an understanding of behavior from a psychological perspective. Students with undergraduate degrees in psychology make excellent employees because of their solid backgrounds in the liberal arts and their research-based understanding of social problems involving human behavior. Psychology majors also have solid writing and problem-solving abilities. You will be qualified to work for social service agencies and in the education and business sectors. Many students advance to graduate school to focus on a specific field of psychology. It also is not unusual to see psychology students pursue graduate degrees in business, law, education, medicine or the broad social sciences. Courses include Human Growth and Development, Psychology of Abnormal Behavior and Research Methods in Psychology. 120 credit hours are required to complete this program.
