Master of Science - Community Economic Development

Offered By: Southern New Hampshire University

The Community Economic Development Program (NCED), with national and international specializations, serves domestic U.S and international CED practitioners. It is an applied 20-month master's degree designed for working professionals interested in acquiring the credentials and skills to help communities become more stable and achieve greater ownership over resources. Students are required to plan and implement a CED project in their communities as part of the program. Typically, the project is linked to their area of specialization and employment. The “learning by doing” sequence of courses takes place throughout the duration of the program and is designed for students to learn and apply directly all the skills and tools CED practitioners need to enhance their community-based work.
