Master of Science in Management

Sullivan University's Master of Science in Management (MSM) program is designed for professionals who, as they assume increasing responsibility within their organizations, find that the basis for success has shifted from technical expertise to the knowledge and skills necessary to manage the human side of the enterprise. Important topics covered in the management core courses include methods and conduct of organizational assessments, strategic management of human assets, strategic planning in domestic and international environments, managerial communication, leadership, and ethical decision making. Throughout the curriculum, major emphasis is placed on the effects of rapid, disruptive change on organizations and administrative processes and the consequent ethical and moral responsibilities of mangers to society at large.

Graduates of Sullivan University bachelor's degree programs will have already completed the COM 499 foundations course as long as they receive grades of “B” or better in courses that satisfy the foundations requirement. Applicants with a bachelor's degree from another institution who have a “B” or better in Sullivan University equivalent courses from a regionally or nationally-accredited institution also may satisfy the foundations requirements. Students who wish to challenge placement in a foundations course may elect to take a bypass exam for a fee. The bypass exam for COM 499 is graded on a pass-fail basis. Students who receive passing scores for a bypass exam may enter directly into MSM courses.
