The online program in Basics in Exercise and Nutrition for Health and Human Performance is designed to meet the needs of individuals with degrees in fields such as Exercise Physiology, Nutrition, Athletic Training and other health related disciplines. Registered dietitians, clinical exercise physiologists, personal trainers, exercise specialists, strength and conditioning specialists, coaches, athletes and others interested in acquiring knowledge in exercise, nutrition and health are also eligible for this program. Our goal is to provide participants with a body of knowledge in exercise physiology and nutrition as it applies to fitness, health and human performance. The program includes coursework in basic knowledge and fundamental principles in each of the disciplines and how these two disciplines interact for promotion of health and performance in children, and young and older adults. Real world situations and application will be emphasized to develop critical thinking skills in a student-centered learning environment.
