Industrial Safety Minor

The Industrial Safety Minor is designed for undergraduate students who desire to pursue opportunities in safety related careers, for currently employed individuals working in safety programs, and for individuals looking towards career opportunities in safety management roles. The Industrial Safety Minor will allow regional businesses the opportunity to develop safety professionals to assist with compliance with the numerous and complex regulations imposed by federal agencies, most notably OSHA. The program will benefit individuals by providing a new professional career path and opportunities for advancement within their company or with other companies.

The 24 credit hour program may be completed in two semesters with 12 credit hours offered each fall and spring semesters, or the program may be extended over four semesters at 6 credit hours per semester. Once completed, students will be credited on their transcript with the Industrial Safety Minor.The minor will be available starting the Fall 2011 Semester.

The University of Nebraska at Kearney offers affordable tuition to out-of-state online students. For 2010-11, nonresident undergraduate online tuition is $284.25 per credit hour; resident undergraduate tuition is $184 per credit hour (fees are additional).
