The Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction degree program is designed to empower educators with evidence-based research tools to become effective teacher-leaders within their school communities.

Our program in Curriculum and Instruction aligns with the five core propositions of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Those propositions include:

    Courses apply directly to the demands placed on school leaders and provide the tools and knowledge base necessary to empower meaningful improvements in their schools.

    Coursework includes six core courses, including Classroom Management, Strengthening Literacy, Assessment for Learning, and Community Engagement. In addition, there are six C&I courses, including Curriculum & Instructional Design, Learning with Technology, Student Engagement and Teacher Leadership.

    A total of twelve, 5-week courses will be completed in 18 months. There is typically 1-2 weeks off between courses.
