The MS in Information Systems program provides a thorough overview of all stages of system engineering as a life-cycle process and prepares software designers and developers for successful careers as information system professionals. The goal of this program is to teach the application of technology to information problems in real organizations. Graduates of the program typically assume senior roles in information systems analysis and design, requirements engineering, software programming, interface design and information resources management.When applying to the MSIS program, students must choose a concentration in one of the following areas: Database Systems , Human-Computer Interaction , Information Architecture, Information Security and Assurance, Software Process or Web Systems and Services. Students may change their concentrations at a later date – up until the point in the program where they must begin their concentration courses.
