Certificate in Analytical Chemistry Principles of Pharmaceutical Science

The Lehigh Analytical Principles of Pharmaceutical Science Certificate has been developed for employees dealing with drug characterization and purity concerns who work in pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device manufacturing companies. The certificate covers the analytical and physical chemistry needed to understand purity and composition issues in pharmaceutical substances. The courses cover the principles behind the common analytical methods and how these methods are applied in pharmaceutical and biotechnical settings.

Four courses (12 credits for credit participation) are required to complete this certificate and students will take any four of the following for certificate completion (courses may be taken in any order): *Elements of Biochemistry I; Elements of Biochemistry II; *Analytical Chemistry; *Clinical Chemistry; Contemporary Topics in Analytical Chemistry; Special Topics in Analytical Chemistry; Spectral Analysis; or Advanced Topics in Chemistry. *Note: Any one of these courses is suggested as a starting point in the program.
