Lewis University's Master of Science degree in Information Security with a Technical Concentration examines how information systems can be made more secure. The curriculum covers processing systems, secure operating systems, applications, network security, cryptography, security protocols, and other issues that confront those charged with securing information networks. This degree takes problem solving to a new level challenging student to analyze and strategize in unconventional ways.
Graduates from this program will be able to safeguard businesses and government agencies from the growing risks and threats to IT functionality, integrity and data privacy they face on a daily basis. This degree fully explores the theory and practice of IT security on a global scale along with the latest technologies in all of the involved technologies.Near the end of this program students will attend a three day weekend residency.
