Master of Science in Counseling

Graduate study is designed to strengthen the academic and professional competence of the student by: developing the capacity for independent study; mastering research skills appropriate to the field of study; building the analytical, creative, integrative, and evaluative techniques as applied to a specialized field of study. Each of the counseling programs is designed to instruct students in the scientific method, to enhance professional pastoral counseling skills, to integrate knowledge of the discipline along with a Christian faithbased perspective and to prepare students for success in the workplace and in ministry settings.
