Bachelor of Science - Information Systems

Information systems is structured for students who want a career specifically in developing software applications, systems, or databases; information security; human-computer interaction; or another aspect of designing and developing systems that use information technology. The Bachelor of Science in Information Systems focuses more intently on technical coursework, offering the most comprehensive treatment of computers, with considerable breadth and depth in information systems and IT topics, the sciences, mathematics and applied quantitative tools, and supporting interdisciplinary studies. In this 127 credit program, you'll take core courses that introduce you to every aspect of the field, plus you'll choose five elective courses that focus on one application or methodological area.

The Bachelor of Science in Information Systems can be completed online if NJIT accepts transfer credit for lower-level undergraduate coursework that has been completed at another institution. Lower-level courses and general university required courses (GURs) are not typically offered online at NJIT while upper level and major courses are generally offered online.
