Master of Science (M.S.) in Human Services - Clinical Counseling

Post University's Master of Science in Human Services with a specialization in Clinical Counseling is designed to meet the educational needs of individuals who seek to advance their skills and career options or seek employment in this growing field. The program allows students to acquire the conceptual, analytical, and operational knowledge to assume new or more advanced positions in Clinical Counseling within Organizational Settings.

The objectives of the program are to help students to:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the issues involved in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of various psychiatric disorders
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the primary models, theories and techniques in contemporary individual, group and family counseling
  • Understand how the models of counseling apply to various client populations and presenting problems
  • Identify the basic stages involved in the counseling process from the initial interview through termination and referral
  • Formulate a foundation for a personal philosophy of and approach to counseling

  • You are not required to complete the GRE test to enter the program. We look for students with work experience, a good undergraduate background, and an ambition to learn and develop their Human Services skills.
  • All students are assigned academic advisors who support and guide them through their entire degree program.
