Master of Science in Instructional Leadership

Offered By: Robert Morris University

The Master of Science (M.S.) in Instructional Leadership degree program at Robert Morris University builds on what students have mastered on the job, as well as in teacher education programs. The program will extend your abilities in a wide variety of areas to help you advance professionally.

The 36-credit degree program is designed for elementary or secondary school teachers, those in corporate training and development, or those in scholastic athletics and recreation management. Six specialization tracks are offered: Leadership, Corporate Training, Elementary Education, English Education, Mathematics Education and Sport Management.

Classes are taught by faculty members who are experts in education and related disciplines, and by practicing professionals who are leaders in the field. Fall and spring semester classes are offered in the evenings during eight-week terms. Many summer courses are also offered during the day for more intensive study.

The program includes a practicum that provides you with the opportunity to conduct a field-based project. You will work with teachers, managers, administrators or other decisionmakers and policy-makers in an educational setting to perform this on-site, guided practical experience. You may choose to focus your practicum in your specialization area.
