Master of Science in Nursing - Clinical Leadership

Offered By: Saint Xavier University

Take a Leading Role in Patient Care

If you want to be a patient care leader and help identify, design, implement, and evaluate administrative and clinical processes to ensure the best care possible, the online MSN program from Saint Xavier University can help you achieve your professional goals.

What sets us apart from the rest is that the online Master of Science in Nursing program has a Clinical Nurse Leader focus. The Clinical Nurse Leader position is an advanced role for nurses who want to hone their clinical expertise and take on the challenge of identifying and instituting more effective methods of patient care. This role was developed by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) as a way to provide clinicians with the expertise and skills to improve patient care quality and safety in today's increasingly complex and advanced health care environment.

Clinical Nurse Leaders work directly with patients, but they also take on the responsibilities and challenges of collecting and assessing data on patient treatment and outcomes. They coordinate and communicate with doctors, pharmacists, social workers, and other nurses to develop new practices and systems, and take leadership roles in implementing change.

Our students are typically experienced nurses with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited university. This degree is for nurses who want to interact with patients and want the challenge of working to improve patient care and outcomes. The skills you will learn in this online nursing master's degree program are flexible and can be applied to most clinical settings, including hospitals, doctors' offices, rehabilitation centers, and hospices.

Please note: This is not a Nurse Practitioner degree program
