The Bachelor of Science in Accounting/Finance degree offers students the course work they need to qualify for careers in the accounting or finance professions. The degree prepares graduates for meaningful employment in accounting, banking, corporate finance, insurance, investments and personal finance. The major would be of particular interest to students seeking to study accounting and finance without following the traditional certified public accountant track. The major also offers an option for accounting and finance students who wish to follow the traditional CPA track. Such students can fulfill the necessary CPA requirements by taking certain upper-level accounting courses as free electives. Courses include Cost Accounting, Money and Banking, and Multinational Corporate Finance. 120 credit hours are required to complete this program.
