The rapidly growing field of Forensic Psychology focuses on the application of psychology and mental health knowledge to the law and our legal system. The Chicago School Professional Psychology's Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology program is the only one of its kind in the Midwest. It is designed specifically for professionals who work in fields such as: law enforcement, corrections, victim assistance, court, probation, and protective services, jails and prisons, and specialized agencies such as child advocacy centers. Graduates will develop mastery to: apply psychology and mental health knowledge to legal and public policy arenas in an ethical, academically informed, and research-based manner; perform risk assessment, intervention, and treatment planning for various problems and populations; and apply the necessary interpersonal, behavioral, academic, and technical skills for application in a variety legal and law enforcement environments. This degree can be earned is as little as 20 months, working approximately 10 hours per week.
