Master of Arts in Education - High Performance Instruction

The Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in High Performance Instruction allows students to uncover best practice for academic achievement of diverse learners, teacher quality, practical models and data-driven decision-making. Students will also develop their cognitive, analytical, and reflective thinking skills through the application of education theory and psychological principles in an action research capstone experience. This specialty is appropriate for preschool, elementary, middle and secondary teachers as well as those who aspire to be curriculum specialists, designers, and supervisors of instruction.
Wisconsin Lutheran College's Master's program in Education is designed to assist educators who seek to develop reflective practitioner and research-assessment skills and build their leadership capacity to advance professionally.
Graduate students learn how to plan for educational programming, apply instructional strategies, conduct assessment, and modify practice according to the needs of the organization and individual learners—all of which is shaped and embedded within a chosen specialty area.
The 36 credit degree program can be completed in less than 30 months by taking one course every eight weeks. The program culminates with a two-semester action research project and creation of a portfolio.
