Master of Arts in Education - Leadership and Innovation

The Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Leadership and Innovation concentrates on professional development, mentorship and coaching in an effort to enhance the academic achievement of diverse learners. Students will develop their cognitive, analytical, and reflective thinking skills through the application of leadership theory and psychological principles in an action research capstone experience. This specialty is appropriate for preschool, elementary, middle and secondary teachers or corporate educators who aspire to be program directors, principals, deans of students, directors of instruction, or lead trainers.

Wisconsin Lutheran College's Master's program in Education is designed to assist educators who seek to develop reflective practitioner and research-assessment skills and build their leadership capacity to advance professionally. Graduate students learn how to plan for educational programming, apply instructional strategies, conduct assessment, and modify practice according to the needs of the organization and individual learners—all of which is shaped and embedded within a chosen specialty area.

The 36 credit degree program can be completed in less than 30 months by taking one course every eight weeks. The program culminates with a two-semester action research project and creation of a portfolio.
